Ingredients
  1. 1 15 oz. can sliced peaches, or 4 single serving (3.75 oz) cups
  2. 1/2 c butter-melted
  3. 1 c flour (I used a mix of white and whole wheat bread flour)
  4. 1 c sugar (I used a mix of cane sugar and coconut sugar)
  5. 1 c milk
  6. 1 tsp baking powder
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Pour melted butter into 8x8 baking dish.
  3. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and milk, then pour the batter over the melted butter.
  4. Drop the peaches on top of the batter and bake about 40 minutes, until golden brown.
Notes
  1. Using coconut sugar makes my end result darker than if you use all cane sugar or granulated sugar.
  2. Make sure that you drain the fruit really well. My peaches weren't dry enough, so the crust didn't set up very well.
  3. I'm sure many other fruits would work perfectly in this simple cobbler base!
