  1. 1/4 c reduced sodium soy sauce
  2. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  3. 1 T brown sugar
  4. 1/2 t ginger
  5. 1/4 t white pepper
  6. 1 package chow mein noodles
  7. 2 T oil
  8. 1 onion, diced
  9. 3 stalks celery, sliced diagonally
  10. 2 c shredded cabbage
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, ginger and white pepper; set aside.
  2. Cook the noodles according to package directions.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and celery, and cook, stirring often, until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in cabbage until heated through, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in noodles and soy sauce mixture until well combined, about 2 minutes.
  1. I didn't have the right veggies on hand (as you can see from the pictures) so I used what I had--carrots, broccoli & cauliflower--and it was just great!
